The 4th Annual Remembrance Run (5K Walk/Run) was held Sunday, September 29, 2013, at Raccoon River Park in West Des Moines. To all of our participants — totaling near 1,200 this year — we thank you for your continued support!
Proceeds from the Remembrance Run are donated to fund the Annual Retreat for Iowa Families of Fallen Service Members, which is hosted by Survivor Outreach Services. The retreat is a private event for family members in Iowa who have lost a service member. The meeting provides the families with useful resources and support, and facilitates a peer network for the participants. The retreat is held the same weekend as the Remembrance Run.
